The pendant has an open work tear drop shaped design and is dated circa 1880.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis beautiful and rare piece has a very impressive Ceylon Sapphire to the centre of 4.13 carats and measuring 8.6mm x 7.4mm x 6.09mm. The Ceylon Sapphire is untreated and transparent giving it an exceptional brightness and clarity. The Ceylon sapphire is topped with an old 8 cut diamond, measuring approx. 1.5mm in diameter \u003cspan\u003eand both the Ceylon sapphire and the diamond are rub over set and hang freely in the centre of the tear shaped panel. The shackle and tear shaped panel is set with a total of 19 diamonds, one circular old cut measuring approx. 3mm diameter, one oval cut measuring approx. 3.4mm x 2.9mm diameter, three old cut\/old Swiss cut measuring between 3.4mm x 3.2 mm and 2.9mm - 3mm diameter and fourteen measuring between 1mm and 1.7mm diameter.
